The Garden Hose

The garden hose wraps himself around the tree.
Slithering, slinking, impressed by his length and resiliency.
Cautiously peering about before his final constriction.
But, interrupted, he flops lifeless,
gathered into an unkempt pile by greasy hands, tossed into a dark corner of the shed.

Because,
as you and I know,
he is just a garden hose.
